EASY TO CLEAN: The stainless steel bento box is dishwasher safe, however, we advise to wash the lid with soap under cold water. Otherwise, the seal may come off due to the heat in the dishwasher, in which case, you may cool it down for 2 minutes before placing back.

Are these really not allowed to go in the fridge as the description states?
These lunch boxes can go in the fridge but what really breaks the steel is the rapid temperature difference that occurs when you place hot food in the lunch box as soon as you take it out from the fridge.
